Sidney + Elijah’s Winter Formal | Kentucky Portrait Photographer

I was lucky enough to capture Sidney a couple of times during her senior year. When she reached out about capturing her Winter Ball portraits, I couldn’t tell her no! Working with her is always a breeze and so much fun. For this session, she specifically wanted an urban feel and when I saw her gorgeous dress and white fur coat, I knew we had made the right choice for the shoot.

She shed the coat for a couple of her photos, but I insisted she leave it on for some of them because it was giving such an old Hollywood vibe that just worked so well with her and her handsome date, Elijah.

This was one of the first sessions where I also shot film along side my digital work. These photos were a little underexposed, but it created this gorgeous vintage and distressed vibe that fit with Sidney and that Hollywood jacket she had on.

I think Sidney should go into modeling after high school, but that’s just me. I’m so glad I was able to capture this event for her, and also grateful I was able to really lean into the more artsy side of my photography for her.
